영국 레스터셔에서 태어난 그림책 작가입니다. 팰머스대학에서 미술을 공부하면서 첫 번째 그림책 『시드니와 스텔라에게 생긴 일』을 쓰고 그렸습니다. 주요 작품으로 『내 친구 어둠』 『포피 피클』 등이 있습니다. 셰필드 어린이 도서 상 대상, 옥스퍼드셔 그림책 상, 배시 상 등을 수상했고, 케이트 그리너웨이 상 최종 후보에 선정되기도 했습니다. 지금은 남편 알렉스와 함께 콘월의 팰머스에 살면서 그림책 작업을 하고 있습니다.
